This collection includes four of the most popular and colourful spring-flowering bulbs: Allium Moly, Oxalis, Anemone de Caen and Brodiaea (25 bulbs of each). Plant them amongst perennials for early colour or in borders and patio pots for a bright display. Supplied as bulbs.
- Collection includes;
- Allium moly – A vigorous little allium bearing dense clusters of star-shaped, golden yellow flowers from late spring. Neat clumps of grey-green, strap-like foliage are quick to establish and will rapidly spread to naturalize beneath shrubs and throughout woodland areas. Allium moly is easy to grow, needing little attention throughout the season, and returning in a bigger and better display each year. Height: 15cm (6″). Spread: 5cm (2″).
- Oxalis – This ornamental Shamrock is as versatile as it is pretty. Oxalis tetraphylla ‘Iron Cross’ is mainly grown for its clover-like, bright green leaves with a dark purple band at the base of each leaflet. From early summer, the distinctive foliage is paired with rosy pink, tubular flowers. Height and spread: 15cm (6″).
- Anemone ‘De Caen’ – Silky, long-lasting blooms with delicately cupped petals are carried on individual stems in a vibrant mix of bold colours. These beautiful windflowers are ideal for cutting, but make sure you leave a few in the garden as they will attract pollinating insects to their captivating blooms. Undemanding and easy to grow, this colourful mix of Anemone coronaria ‘De Caen’ bulbs is perfect for growing in containers or at the front of borders. Height: 30cm (12″). Spread: 15cm (6″).
- Brodiaea – A good all rounder, perfect for planting in containers, borders and rockeries. Produces clusters of double funnel shaped blooms in a rich bluish mauve. An easy to grow spring bloomer, excellent for seasonal cut flower displays – stems will last up to two weeks in the vase.
